On October 13, 2022, the Secretary of HHS renewed the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) for 90-days. The ruling allows the healthcare flexibilities and waivers granted during the PHE to continue through January 11, 2023.
The Secretary of HHS has indicated he will issue at least a 60-day notice prior to the end of the PHE to allow clinicians to review treatment policies put into place during COVID-19.
